Abstract

Warfare during the Middle Ages frequently was of a defensive nature. It was often too costly for one region of Spain to maintain a large standing army. Warfare meant raiding your opponents’ land and crops. During the War of the Two Pedros however, the regions of Castile and Aragon fought a long and bloody war.
